CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) LIVE COUNT WORLD MAP
Coronavirus ( Lat. Orthocoronavirinae ) is a group of RNA viruses that can cause colds, but can also cause far more serious diseases, such as SARS and MERS .
The virus, which is originally derived from bats, causes diarrhea in cows and pigs, while chickens can get lung disease. In humans, the virus group usually causes colds, but some coronaviruses can cause flu-like (chest pain) diseases that can have a serious course. Coronavirus has its name from “corona”, Latin for the crown, which refers to the appearance of the virus that has a surface with small tags, like a crown.
The coronavirus has been known since 1932. The “alpha-coronavirus” was discovered in the 1960s in chickens and in the noses of cold patients. In 2003, a new variant, SARS-CoV, was discovered . Several similar variants, such as MERS-CoV in 2012 and SARS-CoV-2 from Wuhan in China, are called “beta-coronavirus”.
