Coronavirus outbreak: Quebec officials discuss COVID-19 measures as cases surpasses 1,000 | FULL



The number of novel coronavirus cases in Quebec has now climbed to 1,013 as of Tuesday afternoon. There are 385 new cases, 67 people are hospitalized and 30 of them are in intensive care, Premier François Legault confirmed on Tuesday at a news conference.

All Quebec businesses considered to be non-essential services must also close their doors as of midnight on Tuesday.

The Legault government announced the partial shutdown, which will last until April 13, on Monday amid the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the province.
