Volunteers in Seattle are the first in the world to receive an experimental COVID-19 vaccine. The clinical trial evaluating a vaccine designed to protect against the new coronavirus began Monday the Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute in Seattle. “I’m very excited to be able to do it,” said Jennifer Haller who was the first person to receive the vaccine.
Then, Thousands of people are now out of work because of social distancing requirements stemming from the coronavirus outbreak. Jacks BBQ in South Lake Union is still offering to-go orders, just 24 hours after owner Jack Timmons had to lay off 60 employees.
Also, Gov. Jay Inslee says anything is possible in terms of measures the state may take for COVID-19 prevention, including an order to ‘shelter in place’ like what we’re seeing in San Francisco. But, he says we’re not there yet.
Lastly, White tents popped up Monday in a corner of the CVS pharmacy parking lot in Burien, but by late Tuesday morning the tents were gone from the Burien pharmacy.
