Al-Jazeera Net celebrates, with the advent of the first hours of the new year, the 20th anniversary of the launch of the site by modifying the shape of its interface, to allow identification of the content that was specially prepared to define what was achieved by the first news site in the Arabic language.
The new content includes an introduction to the beginnings of those who lived through them, the most prominent digital and news stations of the site, in addition to the site’s vision of its performance today on the global racetrack to attract and satisfy the browser.
The editorial family prepared a special coverage that included a video recording with the director of the site, Anas Fouda, in which he addressed the motives for changing the shape and diversifying the content presented on the site, to be closer to young people, and to express what is in their minds.
The coverage also included an interview with Ahmed Al-Sheikh, the first editor-in-chief of the site, in which he talked about the circumstances of the birth of the idea of establishing the first news website, and the quality of service provided by the site in its early stages, which includes its interactive service with Al-Jazeera screen programs.
The coverage was also introduced to the journalists who succeeded in running the site and the newsroom and those who created the news service inside the room and in the field, including 3 journalists who spent their professional duties in Syria and West Africa.
