After the normalization agreement with the UAE and Bahrain, Israel expands settlements in the West Bank

In the first settlement plan after the normalization of relations with the UAE and Bahrain, the Israeli occupation authorities are preparing to approve the construction of 5,400 new settlement units, in a number of West Bank settlements.

This plan came under the order of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who issued instructions to hold a special session on 12 October to discuss the matter in the Supreme Planning Council, after it was postponed several times, in preparation for issuing licenses.

Israel is preparing to build about 3,000 new settlement units to expand the Beitar Illit settlement, but the plan also extends to include a number of settlements deep in the West Bank and others near the Green Line.
