An attack on a mosque in Germany with anti-Islam posters

The Turkish Islamic Federation for Religious Affairs in Germany said that unknown people had affixed papers containing anti-Islam expressions near a mosque in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.

A statement by the union stated that the posters included anti-Muslim and racist phrases, including “Germany for the Germans” and “Let the foreigners leave.”

The statement quoted the head of the Mosque Association as confirming that the mosque had not previously been subjected to any similar assault since its construction 35 years ago.

He added that the worshipers noticed the posters while they were leaving the Friday prayers, and informed the police, who began an investigation into the incident.
