She added that the new isolation measures will take effect next Sunday, and they include stopping internal services in restaurants and cafes, and converting study in public and private schools to distance learning for a period of 3 weeks.
Bahrain recorded 459 new infections today, bringing the total to more than 100,000, and the number of virus deaths reached 370.
Since last December, Bahrain has witnessed a steady increase in cases of corona.
