  1. To clarify: Brexit and trade talks is all about how the wealthy is going to benefit, while the “ripping apart” is about people.

  2. Yeah, the difference is that EU economy is 10 times the UK, so a rip like this will hardly be noticeable for them

For the UK it could mean economic regression for the next 50 years

And you voted for it, unbelievable

  3. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.businessinsider.com/britain-eu-rip-apart-brexit-trade-talks-french-minister-2020-2) reduced by 82%. (I’m a bot)

    > The United Kingdom and the European Union will "Rip each other part" in negotiations over a new trade deal, a leading European minister has predicted.

    > Trade deals with the EU usually take a number of years, and also need to be ratified by EU institutions.

    > Johnson's UK government has promised that Britain will take back control of its waters as part of leaving the EU. However, EU countries like France are prioritising access to British waters as part of a new trade relationship.

  4. Maybe I should get a boat so I can smuggle stuff to Britain once 2021 comes around and they still don’t have new trade deals with other countries…

  5. Like a divorce but with much more at stake.

  6. Dosent appear to be a fair fight, EU will lose badly.
