  1. Jay said he was also told to record his body temperature, but was not provided a thermometer.
Instead, a government officer told him to purchase one from a pharmacy, he said.
“When I asked them how they can tell me to quarantine myself for everyone’s safety yet advise me to go to a pharmacy and break the rules, they paused and responded that they don’t agree either, but were only following instructions,” he said.

  2. From the article it seems a completely ineffective quarantine

  3. Yep this is gonna get a lot worse.

  4. This has everything to do with the arrest of the Huawei lady.

Canada has been having mad problems getting their citizens P.Rs and spouses and children of Canadian citizens from china.

Other countries have barley had any issues.

Canada should be asking what it is going to do with all the chinese students who can’t afford to go back to china or run out of money studying in canada. If this carries on Canada will have to house 100ks of thousands of students.
Canada should use their people as leverage with getting theirs out

  5. Sound like he’s working illegally if he’s on a visa run to HK. I’m not surprised the state’s not willing to support him breaking their laws.

He’s not a HK resident, he shouldn’t be entitled to a free 2 weeks room and board courtesy of HK. Should have just flown back to Canada to get his visa sorted then come back to China.
