Spanish football champions Real Madrid announced that its defender Dani Carvajal had suffered a knee ligament injury, while Spanish media said that the right-back would be absent from the stadiums for a period of up to two months due to the injury.
“After the tests that Danny Carvajal underwent today at Real Madrid’s medical service, it was found that the injury was in the inner ligaments of the right knee,” the Spanish champion said in a brief statement.

Thus, it is almost certain that Carvajal, 28, will miss Real Madrid’s first 4 matches in the Champions League group stage.
The player will also miss Spain’s next three matches against Portugal, Switzerland and Ukraine, later this month.
