  1. If we ever needed PETA, this is the time.

  2. The concern here is any further zoonosis.

COVID-19 has a zoonotic origin – I read something yesterday which showed that the virus originally came from Pangolins in china. When one was cut up in a Chinese “Wet Market”, the virus spread to a human.

Now in a different host, the virus naturally mutated to survive in its new host, creating COVID-19.

If COVID-19 could spread to cats, then there might be a further round of mutation, creating a cat virus. That cat virus could then be transferred back to humans, and a further mutation develop (COVID-20?)

Of course that mutation might not be harmful. But it might not be.

  3. Thats worrisome because it makes one wonder if pet cats can harbor the virus and cause it to spread. Do pet cats need to be vaccinated once there is a vaccine, so they don’t give it to humans?
