  1. Another casual day in Russia

  2. Who needs zombies, when we already have humans?

  3. I’m concerned about how many of these quarantined people don’t seem to care about the health of the overall public. I’m sure they do this out of fear, it can’t be easy to be in that situation. I don’t remember seeing reports like this during other virus outbreaks, so I wonder how common this behavior was in the past. Are these events just being sensationalized on the media more than past viruses to make it seem worse?

  4. Self interest vs social good – come crunch time, where does one jump. Took one 80 year old to turn the Diamond Princess into a deathtrap, 218 infected, and climbing.

  5. I have zero faith in Russia to contain this. once it reaches the big cities it’s game over.

  6. So, yes, it’s irresponsible and such to break out of quarantine if there is a risk of infection… But it’s Russia: how many of these people were at risk of infecting the population, and how many were simply “quarantined” for reasons *totally unrelated to the prevalence of suicide via self-inflicted knife wounds to the back*?
