Designed for cinematography and professional photography … see the Sony Airpick

Sony has entered the field of drones with its new Airpeak drone at CES 2021.

The company says its new plane is the smaller march capable of carrying a Sony Alpha camera with a full-frame lens, and is designed for creating professional video and photography content.

According to Sony, Airpick is capable of dynamic shooting, accurate and stable flight.

There are very few details about the new drone system at this time, although Sony has stated that it has been exploring the use of drones for landscapes and city shots.

The exhibit featured a quad-propeller design, with two landing gear attachments that retract upward during flight.

The Airpick drone includes a front camera and a distance sensor, and using these technologies with artificial intelligence, it can track the target and avoid obstacles.

Sony Corporation has released an explanatory video of its drone while it is carrying a Sony A7S III camera and as it keeps pace with the test drive of the Sony Vision S concept car on the racetrack.

Two 200 kW engines propel the car to 100 km / h in just 4.8 seconds.

The march uses no less than 40 sensors inside and outside it, and aims to implement the second level of autonomous driving standards, which is the absence of human intervention.

The new aircraft is supposed to be launched in the spring, and although its price has not been announced yet, it will not be cheap, because it is aimed at professional users.

“Sony launches a new business targeting professional photography and video production in the spring of 2021,” the company said in a short statement, which means we should have more information in March or April.

Sony’s statement indicates that Airpick is a new venture and business, and not a stand-alone product, so the drone shown in the CES 2021 demo is likely the first of a new batch.

It is noteworthy that the company said on November 9, 2020 that it had launched a new project for drones in the field of artificial intelligence robots, and that Irpic supports the creativity of video makers to the maximum extent possible, with the aim of contributing to the further development of the entertainment industry, as well as improving efficiency in various industries.
