  1. Citing Adrian Zenz as their only expert is probably a bad idea.

  2. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-51520622) reduced by 94%. (I’m a bot)

    > The 311 main individuals listed are all from Karakax County, close to the city of Hotan in southern Xinjiang, an area where more than 90% of the population is Uighur.

    > Alongside each relative or friend listed is a note of their own background; how often they pray, whether they've been interned, whether they've been abroad. In fact, the title of the document makes clear that the main individuals listed all have a relative currently living overseas – a category long seen as a key indicator of potential disloyalty, leading to almost certain internment.

    > Whether or not China has closed its re-education camps in Xinjiang, Dr Zenz says the Karakax List tells us something important about the psychology of a system that prevails.

  3. Damn, china is really bringing the trolls and bots in this. Just check the age of accounts before you waste any time at all reading. Their current strategy is to exhaust you, and train you to blanket case ignore other options.

Look for long, run on paragraphs. That’s a current tell

Check their age. Like 18D spouting pro pooh shit, GTFO. 6m 6d account comparing this with the CIA and FBI, GTFO. Stay vigilant.

  4. The difference is there is due process and even the most high profile prisoners in Gitmo get their day in court. What’s dangerous is kidnapping an entire group of 2 million people based on their religion indefinitely, and when someone questions the internment camps they shovel the classic “ohh these people are all extremists they had it coming” and people will gobble that shit up

  5. I don’t see how this is different from the FBI or CIA profiling and tracking certain people in the country for radicalization. The FBI’s lack of attention to the details seen in this document is also how so many extremist were able to slip through the cracks kill hundreds of Americans. Same story with school shooters. This type of detail will be the norm as these events occur with great intensity.

  6. I believe that if those Uighurs had the chance to stay in the camps or go to one of the “-stan” countries they would rather stay in the camps

  7. Of course the report will never mention that the websites or chat groups visited are those with extremist ideology. That bit will reduce the impact of the news report that seems to me an effort to demonise the Chinese Govt.
