He talked about a new political contract .. the Iraqi president outlines the guidelines for getting out of crises

Iraqi President Barham Salih said that a new political contract is needed that will enable Iraqis to build a state with full sovereignty and address the accumulated mistakes.

And he added – in a speech marking the first anniversary of the killing of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, that there are those who want the Iraqis to be preoccupied with internal conflicts that are draining them, stressing that the country’s conditions will not be straightened without the people being the master of themselves far from any Guardianship or outside interference.

Saleh emphasized that an independent Iraq is a fundamental pillar of a regional system based on respecting peoples ‘rights and rejecting conflicts, and it cannot be accepted that the country is an arena for others’ struggle or a starting point for aggression against others.

He pointed out that the country lives in extremely complex and sensitive conditions, in light of regional challenges, economic crises and important entitlements, most notably early and fair elections, far from fraud or manipulating the will of the Iraqis in choosing their representatives, initiating reforms, strengthening security services, and controlling uncontrolled weapons, explaining that this It requires everyone to consider in a spirit of national responsibility, restraint and not allow anyone to tamper with the country’s capabilities.

In conjunction with the start of the implementation of the uncontrolled disarmament decision, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi went out on a tour of the streets of Baghdad yesterday, Monday, where he exchanged talks with citizens, and had lunch in a restaurant.

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Government published a video clip, showing Al-Kazemi meeting citizens on the way as he contended with them, and some approached him to take pictures with him.

This comes one day after the Interior Ministry’s intelligence agency announced the initiation of a security operation to disarm unauthorized weapons in the capital, Baghdad.
