Intelligence about Egyptian funds for the Trump campaign in 2016

CNN said that federal investigators have been investigating for more than 3 years the possibility of Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign receiving money from an illegally state-owned Egyptian bank.

In a report, the network also published a copy of it on its website in Arabic, CNN quoted sources it described as well-informed as saying that the investigation was kept secret until the team of Special Investigator Robert Mueller could search the bank’s records. Then it was closed last summer without being charged for lack of Guides.

The network said that intelligence information indicated the possibility of an influx of $ 10 million from an Egyptian government bank that Trump used 11 days before the elections that resulted in his victory as president. The CNN report did not mention the name of the Egyptian bank.

She added that the investigators had failed to answer a number of questions, including the possibility that Trump was supported by or in debt to a foreign power.

The team of Special Counsel Robert Mueller tried to understand the relations of the Republican candidate for the 2016 elections with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to revised interview sources and records released by the Mueller investigation.

It is reported that Mueller led an investigation into Russian interference in the last US presidential elections, but did not result in an indictment of Trump regarding possible collusion with Russia, or his obstruction of justice.

The investigations dealt with suspicions related to receiving the Trump campaign from countries including the UAE, as well as George Nader, a former advisor to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed.
