Milan continued to bleed points in the Serie A title race after it drew 1-1 in the final seconds with its guesthouse Udinese on Wednesday night in the 25th round of Calcio.
And the rest of the round matches that took place on Wednesday resulted in Rome defeating its host Fiorentina 2-1, Atlanta against Crotone 5-1, Verona at host Benvento 3-0, and Cagliari at home to Bologna 1-0, while Napoli drew with host Sassuolo 3-0. 3, Sampdoria with host Genoa 1-1.
Milan, who achieved a lonely victory in its last four matches in the competition, remained in second place with 53 points, 3 points behind arch-rivals Inter (leaders), who are visiting Parma on Thursday in the same round.
In contrast, Udinese raised its score to 29 points in 11th place.
Milan appeared very pale, as it seemed affected by the absence of a number of its essential elements, in the lead of which was the veteran Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Turkish Hacken Chalhanoglu and the Algerian Ismael Bennasser injured.
Udinese scored a surprise goal, signed by Rodrigo Bissau, in the 68th minute, but Frank Casey scored the equalizer for Milan in the sixth minute of calculated time, instead of a lost goal for the second half with a penalty kick.
