The tear gas fired at people “forced hundreds of people to touch their faces as they vomited, spat and wiped away tears, increasing the chance of the virus’s spread, the statement added.” And they defended the excessive force as necessary to enforce the curfew. Why have a curfew at all if government/security forces don’t actually care about controlling the spread of the disease?
