Villarreal coach Unai Emery revealed the unbridled desire of French star Kylian Mbappe to move to LaLiga champion Real Madrid, stressing that the player loves the royal very much.
Emery supervised the training of 21-year-old Mbappe in the Paris Saint-Germain team from 2016 to 2018, after which he moved to coach Arsenal, before returning to training in the Spanish Football League.
Emery said – in statements to a Spanish radio – that “there is nothing in Mbappe’s head but Real Madrid,” and that when he was leading Saint-Germain, his young French star was seriously considering moving to the royal, which he loves so much.
He added that he made a strenuous effort in talking with Mbappe, as well as his father, to convince them of the necessity of staying in Paris, as I did not want him to leave the team at all.
Frequent reports link Mbappe to a move to Real Madrid next summer or at most after his contract with Saint-Germain expires in 2022.
