  1. I didn’t know what Mudik is because I’m just some American dude, so I looked it up.

It’s this big family holiday in Indonesia, when people who’ve migrated other places for work traditionally go back home for a visit with their families. It’s not religious in origin but is more of a regional culture thing (like Thanksgiving in America). Its really about homecoming and being with family.

Naturally, it causes great crowds of travelers, so I’m guessing for many Indonesians this would be like if it was Thanksgiving now and we couldn’t go be with our families because of the quarantines.

I did also look up some videos and tried to find music about Mudik. There are a few, mostly silly and fun. [But I really liked this one](https://youtu.be/FQinA8-jh2w) which is just a family and some cute kids having a nice family holiday trip. At least, that’s what I interpret because I don’t understand the language.

Anyway… sorry for any Indonesian people reading this who now can not have a nice Mudik. That sucks.
