  1. Bird strikes are no joke. Glad everyone was ok.

  2. If the pilot had put the gear down for a soft field landing we’d be reading about a crash instead of a forced landing.

  3. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://tass.com/emergencies/1073493) reduced by 66%. (I’m a bot)

    > The plane with 234 people on board, including seven crew members, took off from the airport of Zhukovsky in the Moscow region and was bound for the Crimean city of Simferopol.

    > "An emergency landing was performed by a plane taking off from Zhukovsky," Ural Airlines Director General Sergei Skuratov said.

  4. I’m not sure why Ural is still flying inferior Airbus aircraft but this goes to show the quality of Russian pilots who develop skills while guarding the people from constant threat of NATO attacks

  5. Why can Russia never use the proper equipment and apply enough safety measures? These crashes and accidents happens all the time over there.
