  1. sensationalist bs title – evereyone is aware drones can kill people

  2. Putin, a dead eye, stone cold killer, scared of a tv celeb

  3. Why would Trump attack his boss?

  4. Putin isn’t scared of Trump or the US. If anything, he is scared of his own people. He rules by deceit and violence. He is tolerated because he makes sure his cronies profit. But if one of them saw Putin as a liability, or just thought they could do it better, Putin would get removed. There is no honor among these sort of thieves.

  5. I think he was more terrified of Gaddafi killing. But then again, this is “Salon”. People post weird sources.

  6. I highly doubt Putin is scared by anything.

  7. May be it’s signal that Russia can do the same with impunity ?

  8. Yeah, just as soon as we remove all of his puppets, who control things in his favor.

  9. It’s almost as if invading and annexing a sovereign nation for the first time since the end of WW2 threw a couple other norms out the window. Actions have consequences.

  10. Doubt it. But it would be the greatest irony ever.

  11. If wars were waged where the leaders were terrified instead of everyone else that would be great.

  12. Actual title:

“**Exclusive: Anti-Putin activist says Russian government likely scared by Trump’s attack on Iran**”

    Nice try, piggie.

  13. I saw a terrified Trump giving a speech after the Iranian response.

  14. Note that there is a field surrounding Putin that appears to mess with gps and many bands of wireless communications(made by Russia’s secret service). This would make killing Putin by drone a lot harder.

  15. Trump to Putin: “Hahaha, be afraid!”
    Putin: *confused cat meme*

  16. I can see Trump terrified (that eagle comes to mind) I can see Browder terrified but Putin I dont see it…

  17. > Putin is absolutely terrified

    Good.

  18. I doubt that. This would actually start a war.

  19. Ehhh yeah I don’t buy this one. Iran is a toothless old 3 legged dog, no threat. Bullies pick on the weak, not the ones who can turn around and nuke them.

  20. Only way that would ever happen is if they had the blessing of the guy who would replace him.

  21. Bullshit.

I mean, there are some oligarchs who should get on small, private jets and never be seen again, but Putin is not in our crosshairs, nor should he be.

  22. LOL. I don’t think Putin has any fears of this administration acting too harshly towards him. He got a full pass for meddling in our elections and even some help from the GOP by blaming it on Ukraine.

  23. Trump is the first to turn on his friends. If he decides he needs to turn on Putin to prove his “strength” or whatever bullshit, perhaps he would.

  24. This title feels like something that would be on a political version of OK! Magazine

  25. When Trump is out of office maybe it should be a consideration.

  26. The US would not be the ones to try to take out Putin. It’s gonna be someone from the inside. Later this year an assassination attempt will be done on Putin by a member of his own security team. So will see how that unfolds.

  27. Wouldnt that be a huge mistake to make? Lol!!!

Be raining down on USA soon thereafter.

  28. It’s a pretty common thing for autocrats throughout history…. Stalin and Hitler were extremely paranoid (Hitler rightly so because there were many attempts on him).

Churchill on the other hand travelled with only one bodyguard, public service means a man puts himself in harm’s way for the greater good and someone will step up to take their place should anything happen…

I suspect soleimani felt that as well as he moved frequently around war zones. It’s not a quality found much anymore amongst leaders unfortunately. Many just give orders for others to put themselves in harm’s way.

  29. Except Russia has nukes, you fucking simp.

  30. I think any “Putin said this” news leak that makes it to America can instantly be written off as bullshit. Furthermore, I doubt that he has admitted to being afraid of anything in his entire goddamn life.

  31. Most of these drones would get shot down by a competent air defence system pretty easily. They’re designed to fly in areas where either the most competent anti air is a goat, or if a friendly government lets them do so.

And even if they did succeed, I’m pretty sure the repercussions of killing a Russian general in cold blood will be pretty catastrophic.

  32. I believe that Browder believes it, but I am not sure why he believes it and the article doesn’t really provide any evidence. How could Putin have no idea that the US could air strike him or use drones? Or is Putin afraid that the US is crazy enough to do it and end life on the planet? And Putin being terrified of Qaddafi makes sense since it was a civil uprising aided by the US, but that isn’t what this was.

  33. LoL. Bullies only attack the helpless. Not a chance they would ever go after Putin.

  34. I don’t believe this title.

  35. Oh yea OK cause Obama never drone killed anyone… Bullshit article is bullshit.

  36. Putin terrified?

Sorry, have you seen the guy? He looks like he can kill a man with his bare hands in two movements.

I don’t think he’s afraid of anything. He’s probably measuring his words and movements now, and seems to be a much better strategist than other world leaders at the moment.

  37. Dude who the fuck names a news article the salon, makes it sound like a gossip magazine.

  38. Putin is scared of Trump attack, am I reading this right? HAHAHA

Only thing that assassinations mean is more money for security of US officials now

  39. [Putin is actually pretty terrified of being Gaddafi’d though.](https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/01/putins-game/546548/)

    > Putin had always been suspicious of democracy promotion, but two moments convinced him that America was coming for him under its guise. The first was the 2011 NATO intervention in Libya, which led, ultimately, to the ousting and gruesome lynching of the Libyan dictator, Muammar Qaddafi.

    >**Afterward, many people who interacted with Putin noticed how deeply Qaddafi’s death troubled him. He is said to have watched the video of the killing over and over. “The way Qaddafi died made a profound impact on him,”** says Jake Sullivan, a former senior State Department official who met repeatedly with senior Russian officials around that time.

    >**Another former senior Obama-administration official describes Putin as “obsessed” with Qaddafi’s death.**
