  1. Sad thing is that this rainforest is literally uncharted. The region has been such a hotbed for violence and war that no one had made extensive scientific expeditions of the region. It may be host to species we don’t know about, may be even large species.

  2. Oh yeah, it’s all falling apart

  3. Well, with 43 years left of oil worldwide.. this was inevitable.

Just like the South China sea offshore prospects, the timeline seems in order.

  4. There is probably more money in protecting the wilderness than in letting resource companies tear it up.

  5. while the world is distracted.

  6. Sounds like they’re gonna be interested in some “freedom” when they find oil

  7. Companies taking advantage of those who don’t have to eat. Disgusting. Fck Capitalism.

  8. will saudi arabia send some of its armed stooges?

  9. its only upsetting when non-african countries do it.

  10. To bad Canada can’t just supply oil and gas. SAGD allows for extraction without having many well sites.

Oh but that’s right. Oil bad. Can’t have a country that respects human rights and actually gives a shit about not spilling oil producing.
