Ronaldo saves Juventus from defeat to Roma

Juventus escaped defeat by a dramatic 2-2 draw at Roma in the second round of the Italian Football League, thanks to the brilliance of its Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rome took the lead at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital with a goal by Jordan Verto in the 31st minute from a penalty kick, and Ronaldo tied in the 44th minute for Juventus from a penalty kick as well, and Rome quickly returned to progress through Vertu also in the 45th minute.

Although Juventus player Adrian Rabiot was sent off in the 62nd minute, Ronaldo equalized by scoring the second goal for himself and his team in the 69th minute.

The draw raised the balance of defending champions Juventus to 4 points in fourth place, while Roma got their first point this season, jumping from 18th to 12th in the table.
