  1. The Chinese built and control that port. They spent more than 80 per cent of the US$248 million it took to build Gwadar port and it is the lynchpin of their One Belt One Road initiative.

“China took over management on Monday of Pakistan’s Gwadar port, en route to key Hormuz Straits oil shipping lanes, in a move which has prompted nerves in India about its fellow Asian giant’s growing strategic clout.”

  2. So are the Chinese complaining about this? Or is it the Pakistanis who are complaining? Otherwise, why is this news?

American Navy docks in countries all over the world, and it rarely makes the news. Why should the Chinese Navy attract so much attention?

  3. And…? It’s not like it’s unusual for navies from various nations to visit ports of other nations that they’re on good terms with.

  4. Breaking News: ship visits dock.

  5. Just like how USA has a fleet in Taiwan and Japan, but China can’t have fleets in other countries got it. Makes total sense.

  6. This just in! Navy from one nation ports in another nation. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

  7. How convenient, The US navy will not have to go far after kicking off Iran
