  1. That would be awesome, but the current administration is moving in literally the opposite direction in regards to the establishment of national parks, wildlife refuges and marine sanctuaries.

  2. Road map should be getting any other president.

  3. You’d have to tell Trump that Obama refused to do it. He’d be all over it instantly.

  4. Pfft. They can’t save what they HAVE and you want them to save what they DON’T?

  5. The LDS church is sitting on 100B that is supposed to be used for charity. Make them use it, or take away their tax exemption.

  6. But what about our military industrial complex

  7. But windmills cause cancer

  8. “The president”? So the plan relies on Donald Trump – the plan is terrible.

  9. The president heard the plan’s call and is hitting ignore. This administration isn’t interested.

  10. How much would it cost to bribe trump to do that and stop doing stuff for the big polluters and fossil fuel companies he currently takes bribes from?

    Totally worth it though.

  11. You know what depresses me is that this isn’t even the same issue as climate change/global warming. Even if we were to fix that *perfectly* we’d still have to deal with this issue. And as difficult as it is to deal with our greenhouse gas emissions, that’s nothing compared to the systemic changes we’ll have to make if we want this planet to continue hosting an appreciable fraction of the biodiversity that still exists today. Much of it has already been lost.

  12. The wigged dick do that?

  13. Climate change is going to cost much more than 100 billion to mitigate or reverse. Parks and reforesting will help, but they’re not even close to enough to save the planet from becoming inhospitable to life.

  14. Less than Trump’s wall.

  15. So we have the choice of building a gigantic ineffective “wall” on the boarder to keep out a certain race of people, which can be cut with a $100 power tool, or we could save all wildlife and help stop climate change.

  16. Yeah that’s probably not gonna happen…

  17. Better hang on to that proposal until the next president is sworn in.

  18. As good an idea as that is, how would any of his buddies make money off it? That’ll be the only way it gets traction in this Administration.

  19. No way, we could have 1/60th of a Middle Eastern war for that price!

    No deal!

  20. Oh, that’s all? Someone should tell the President straight away. Easy peazy.

  21. We won’t make it to civilization 1, already proven

  22. If you want to fix a problem u need to start at the main cause Asia.

  23. How about everyone who is so convicted this is necessary start writing checks. The American taxpayers are on the hook for enough.

  24. Hahahahahahahahahaha…

    Trump.

    Bwahahahahahahahahahaha.

  25. Imagine wasting the time and effort to try and convince Don Cheeto to do this.

  26. Haha of course, because every solution involves the US spending or giving away their money.

  27. Hahahahahahahaha. With this clow and our corporate owned legislators?! Stop! You’re looking me.

  28. I mean getting rid of all the CAFO’s and cattle fields would be a start. You’d have more land than you know what to do with…

  29. For the love of Dog people let’s save the planet so I don’t have to raise a army to ensure the survival of dog that’s alot of work and I’m lazy

  30. What do you mean $50 billion?? Where are we supposed to find $50 billion?

  31. Great idea. Will never happen with Republicans in power
