  1. So Russia can just freely kill civilians in other countries, now.

    Nice.

  2. One day we’re all going to look back and laugh at how we didn’t see Putin as some sort of villain way earlier.

  3. >Minkail Malizaev, another Chechen blogger based in Berlin – where a Russian with links to Putin’s intelligence services killed another Chechen refugee in August – told the French media that he had also been invited on the trip.

    >He said the trip was supposed to have concluded with a meeting in Paris, not a hotel room stabbing in Lille.

    >Malizaev told French reporters that the meeting was to include himself, Aliev, and the unidentified suspect. He too said the man is a Chechen with close links to Kadyrov.

    >Malizaev decided not to go to the Paris meeting because something about it felt “abnormal.”

Seems like Malizaev avoided being killed by following his gut instinct. Wise choice.

Now that he knows he’s definitely a serious assassination target, he should be even more careful. Hope he stays safe.

  4. He’ll probably end up being the new governor of some remote part of Russia as a reward.

  5. Why does it seem that none of the headlines mention how this was almost certainly a hit ordered by the President of Chechnya for criticizing him? Is it because the news sites assume the average person is too stupid to remember what Chechnya is, or because they think “Putin hit squad” gets more clicks?

  6. How countries keep having their own citizens assassinated on their own soil by foreign agents without any significant repercussions is astounding. Economic sanctions just don’t seem enough in the modern world, because at some point its mutually assured destruction to tank another country’s economy. All of our world superpowers are trending towards outright fascism too, so I bet we can expect it to get much worse before it gets any better.

  7. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.businessinsider.com/imran-aliev-suspect-fled-russia-link-kadyrov-police-2020-2) reduced by 80%. (I’m a bot)

    > "We are confident that we have identified the proper suspect and have established that he flew to Russia from Germany immediately after the murder," according to a French police official briefed on the case who spoke to Insider.

    > The apparent link between the suspect and Kadyrov suggests the murder plot developed from Chechnya itself, where Kadyrov is considered a near-absolute ruler who answers only to Putin.

    > While Russia has come under repeated criticism for a series of deaths in Europe, Kadyrov loyalists are also suspected in a series of murders and attacks both within Russia and overseas.

  8. You can bet trump is green with envy asking his staff why he can’t kill his political enemies like his bro Putin.

  9. Here on reddit it was written many times that this blogger was not anti-Putin, he was anti-Kadyrov. In Russia there is a god knows how many of these anti-Putin bloggers. In general, it’s safe to be an anti-Putin blogger and criticize Putin until he becomes a direct threat to Putin.

But Kadyrov is a completely different “fruit”; he looks more like the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in relation to his critics and so on.

  10. This is the guy the orange dope in the White House admires….LMFAO!!!!

  11. It’s just like that time Saudi Arabia dismembered a Trump dissenter. Get these sicko psychos out of government and out of world leadership and into cages for the rest of their lives where they belong.

  12. >The apparent link between the suspect and Kadyrov suggests the murder plot developed from Chechnya itself

From the article itself, but somehow he is Putin critic. Clickbait garbage is on the front page once again.

  13. AFAIK where are no direct boards from Paris to Grozniy so Chechen killer would flee to Moscow anyway. Also, it was poonted many times that Kadirov is not controlled by Putin or whoever else, is quasi-sultan and only payed to keep Chechnya quiet.

  14. What a way to write that he most likely murdered on Kadyrovs order

  15. We all know it was Putin. Will other world leaders do anything???? No. No they won’t and never will so not really newsworthy anymore.

  16. Wow. No way. What a coincidence.

  17. I live in Belgium so next to lille and nobody ever heard about that story. This is crazy they can talk about terrorism when someone just get hurt during weeks and here nothing. No big news no television reporter talk about this shit.

  18. Should come as no surprise

  19. “It was a Ukranian hit squad hired by Hunter Biden”

    -Roody G

  20. So maybe someone should go over there, take him out, and flee to France…

  21. I don’t think accomplishing your assassination mission and then leaving to go back home is really what I would call fleeing.

  22. We should not have let him get that Olympics buff. +30 to City state relations, 500 points to a golden age, and. 100% tourism buff allowed him to invade Crimea with out take a warmongering penalty

  23. Imagine white knighting for putin. Pathetic

  24. Putin is a psychopathic continuation of the USSR. In other news, water remains wet.
