  2. All I can think of is that, as he bravely charged the terrorist with his five-foot ivory Spear of Justice, that When the Winged Hussars Arrived really should have been playing in the background.

  3. Imagine being awesome enough to take on a terrorist with a fire extinguisher only to get shown up by a mad lad wielding a narwhal horn.

Seriously tho, props to all three of those heroes

  4. This isn’t the first time a heroic Pole has defended London [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-British_personnel_in_the_RAF_during_the_Battle_of_Britain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-British_personnel_in_the_RAF_during_the_Battle_of_Britain)

  5. I’m still stuck on the fact that the good people of London were saved from worse damage by what is effectively a Pole with a pole.

  6. You always charge a guy with a gun! With a knife, you run away.

  7. For a second, I thought OP had spelled ‘Police Chief’ incorrectly.

  8. Humanity, proving yet again that it is superior to both bigotry and hatred.

I’d just like to quote my Grandfather for a second on this matter, “Never hate someone because they came from a different place. During the Battle of Britain, we were in need of help and it was our Polish Brothers who answered the call. Never hate for such ridiculous reasons.”

He was a Spitfire Pilot during WW2 and latterly an airline pilot. The man knew people, as many types of people as possible. Age is no excuse for hatred.

    (And fuck Nigel Farage!)

  9. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/02/polish-chef-fought-terrorist-narwhal-tusk-hailed-spirit-london-11253628/) reduced by 85%. (I’m a bot)

    > The chief executive of Fishmonger's Hall said Lukasz was wounded several times as he fought Khan 'one-on-one' for about a minute, giving others crucial time to escape.

    > That's where they were filmed tackling Khan with a fire extinguisher and narwhal tusk before armed police shot him dead. The Polish Ambassador to the UK, Arkady Rzegocki, said Lukasz's bravery shows the 'strong spirit of camaraderie' between Poles and Brits in London.

    > 'This guy we now know by the name of Khan, he works his way up Lukasz's pole, slashing with this knife and he takes five wounds to his left side.

  10. Used to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with some Polish guys. Great guys. Hard as nails. This serves as further proof in my mind that there is no Polish word for pain.

  11. Hold the phone! You mean one of those undesirable Eastern European immigrants that the backwards Brexiteers want to keep out saved good, clean, white English people?!? The horror!

  12. I for one am going to need to taste his Rosol Soup before bestowing the “Hero Chef” Title…just Hero for now then.

  13. I hope he gets some official acknowledgment for his actions. He definitely saved lives while risking his own.

  14. A narwhal tusk? Did he have a permit for that ?

  15. Where did the chef get a narwhal tusk?

  16. All this time I had read that as “Police chief” and was wondering why he had a tusk

  17. Sir, are you okay, you’ve been stabbed 5 times!
Polish chef: Kurwa!! stabbed 5 times? Listen, I lived through the Polish People’s Republic this was a friday night for me

  18. I remain sorry that we couldn’t have been better allies in the aftermath of WWII to Poland, which had risked everything and lost almost everything trying to defend their land.

There was a window of time that we might have been able to use the nuclear option to force the soviets out of Poland, but it might have triggered WWIII on the spot, and at that point everyone was so tired of war that there was no will to get it done

  19. and the Brits hate the Poles, even after all they have done for them historically. Brexit can’t come soon enough

  20. Polish chef stops Pakistani terrorist. Boris Johnson blames European immigration for incident.

  21. Bravery aside I can’t help but thinking the Nahrwal horn wasn’t a great choice of weapon by old Lukasz. He’d have been better off beating the attacker to death with his giant testicles.

  22. narehal tusks is the true weapon against these barbarians

  23. Those people come take our jobs and now save lives with narwhal tusks what’s next !?

  24. Dude’s used to dealing with knives. Don’t mess around with chefs!

  25. Never bring a knife to a tusk fight.

  26. Okay I am unclear how a convicted terrorist is set free. When I see or hear terrorist I think of someone who has done more than killed people. To call someone a terrorist means to me that they should not even be given an opportunity for a fresh start ever. How does someone labeled a terrorist get set free from jail? Is a terrorist something different in the US to the UK?
