Axios reported that the UAE had complained to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the chief Israeli epidemiologist, Sharon Ellroy Price, said that the Corona virus infection had spread from Dubai to Israel, and Netanyahu’s advisors apologized for these statements.
According to the site, Price criticized the Israeli government in a hypothetical meeting with hospital directors in Israel, and said that “the number of Israelis who died within two weeks of peace with Dubai exceeds the number of those who died in 70 years of war with it.”
The website added that Emirati officials contacted the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office to express their condemnation of these statements.
Netanyahu’s advisors apologized for these statements, and stressed that Israel does not hold the UAE responsible for the high number of injuries and deaths it has.
A week ago, the Dubai government announced that during the past three weeks, about 20 tourist facilities had been closed due to violations of facing the epidemic, and all hospitals were instructed to suspend all elective surgeries until February 19 due to the increasing spread of the virus.
