Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month in an innovative way.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month falls on October of every year in all countries of the world, and it is a month that helps increase interest in this disease, and provide the necessary support to raise awareness of its seriousness, early detection and treatment, as well as providing patients with palliative care.

A Qatar Airways Boeing Dreamliner drew its path in the form of the pink ribbon to symbolize breast cancer awareness campaigns.
“Our Boeing 787 Dreamliner has formed its course in the sky of Qatar this morning,” Qatar Airways wrote in a tweet on Saturday.
She added, “We are proud of our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, accompanied by our strong female employees who have contributed to the success of Pink Flight QR 9901”.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women, affecting 2.1 million women every year, and it causes the largest number of cancer-related deaths among women.

In 2018, it is estimated that 627,000 women die from breast cancer, which is nearly 15% of all cancer deaths among women, according to the World Health Organization.
The organization adds that while breast cancer rates are higher among women in more developed regions, rates are increasing in nearly every region of the world.
