  2. I’m not entirely happy with what Trudeau is asking for here. I would rather see allowances made for MP’s to vote remotely so that parliamentary sessions can be held without cramming our entire leadership into an enclosed space in the middle of a pandemic, making it faster and easier to get spending put to a vote.

  3. These provisions were added by the Liberal government at the last minute to the relief bill. At the moment these powers have been rejected by all opposition parties (thank god), and they will not support the relief bill unless these provisions are removed.

    Edit: Since this bill is being rushed through to skip committee, it requires unanimous consent from MPs. Even if 1 MP wants to hold this up that’s enough.
