Turkish-Israeli relations are not a reference for normalization

The steps of “normalization” with Israel, led by the United Arab Emirates and then Bahrain, were followed, oddly, by the participation of Serbia and Kosovo from the Balkans. But these steps taken by the two Gulf states, along with the two Balkans, are dubious, as they are based on a program that undermines everything that is normal and normal.

Regarding the two Balkan states joining the normalization process, the humiliating treatment they were subjected to during the signing of the normalization agreement clearly indicates that this was done under threat and pressure and imposed on them. On the other hand, the behavior of Bahraini and Emirati officials with Trump during the signing of the agreement was far from that of a normal person.

In fact, this indicates that the normalization agreement was concluded in extraordinary circumstances that lack the foundations of normal human relations. The general framework also indicates that these countries did not voluntarily choose to normalize relations with Israel.

Perhaps the most prominent example of that is Sudan, which is expected to be woven along the same lines, although it has not signed the normalization agreement yet, and at the time I was writing this article, I came across news published by the Israeli newspaper “Walla” that talked about holding a meeting with Israeli officials and others Sudanese In Abu Dhabi, under the auspices of the United Arab Emirates and the United States, according to this news, the United States pledges to remove Sudan from the list of countries that support terrorism in exchange for normalization.

This is international blackmail that is in the interest of Israel and absolves everyone who normalizes relations with it from terrorist crimes. No one in the world is ignorant of the humanitarian crimes and terrorism committed by the United Arab Emirates in Yemen. But normalization with Israel will guarantee its acquittal of all the charges against it.

You can imagine that the inclusion of Sudan on this list, and the actions that resulted from it, was a punishment for a great people who left millions of their members without food or medicine; To suffer both from famine, poverty and disease. But these woes have no significance for the United States of America or European countries, and of course, Israel did not care about them. There have been no significant changes in Sudan’s status, whether in terms of its politics or its positions. But in return for the normalization agreement, he will get rid of the measures taken against it.

No one in the world is ignorant of the humanitarian crimes and terrorism committed by the United Arab Emirates in Yemen. But normalization with Israel will guarantee its acquittal of all the charges against it.

Saudi Arabia has not yet joined this mockery of normalization. But Mohammed bin Salman’s performance of his duty and role by pushing and supporting Bahrain in this process is sufficient to cover up his practices that violate human rights, and to polish his image in front of the world. It seems that the normalization agreement with Israel has become like an instrument of forgiveness, which cleanses the bearer of all his sins. As for countries that do not have anything to cleanse them of their sins, their freedom and independence are compromised through extortion with famine and poverty.

The countries that joined the path of normalization did two things in order to justify what they did and to show that it is a natural thing; The first of them is to create a perception that Qatar will have a turn to join them, especially since it is known to be one of the countries most opposed to this normalization campaign, and Qatar’s normalization with Israel would comfort these countries and make them prove that this normalization treaty is natural. Like criminals who want to implicate the righteous in crimes in order to justify to people that what their hands have committed is a natural thing, and according to Dostoevsky, the greatest pleasure for all sinners is that the Pope himself committed the same sins; But the news confirming that the position of the Emir of Qatar is steadfast and has not changed towards Israel, causing them disappointment, and leaving them plunged into humiliation on their own.

During the AKP era, Turkish-Israeli relations did not develop; Rather, it is witnessing a continuous decline, not to mention that Turkey has used these relations to serve the interest of the Palestinians, and during the last 20 years, Turkey has not hesitated to publicly and officially condemn all Israeli violations and the steps of annexation of lands, and to urge action against it at the international level.

Second, these countries claimed that Turkey was the first Islamic country to recognize the State of Israel, and that it had normal relations with it, especially since Turkey was among the countries most critical of this normalization campaign at the official level. But Turkish-Israeli relations do not at all resemble the campaign of normalization, led by the UAE today, regardless of the fact that Turkey actually recognized Israel when it was established, and there is no doubt that those who were ruling Turkey at that stage hastened to take such a decision, so that Turkish-Israeli relations The continuing history to this day dates back to the same period of time, and Turkish-Israeli relations have always been faltering even before the AKP assumed power.

During the last 11 years, it seems clear what happened to the Turkish-Israeli relations, which were normal in the past, as agreements in the field of joint defense were canceled, the Israeli aviation’s use of Turkish airspace for training, and arms purchase agreements from Israel and others.

The revolution in the Turkish military industries that we are witnessing today and the extraordinary success in combating terrorism we owe to severing joint cooperation with Israel in this field. In fact, Turkey did not lose anything by reducing the scope of its relations with Israel – on the contrary – it won a lot and on top of you success in the field of combating terrorism, as the exploration operations that Turkey was conducting through Israeli-made drones served terrorist organizations more than Turkey. This is because the information was reaching the hands of the terrorist organizations before it reached Turkey, which explains why the weapons that Turkey was buying from Israel were targeted at the wrong targets such as mountains and rocks.

After the deterioration of Turkish-Israeli relations, and after it became forced to manufacture its military hardware on its own, Turkey achieved important successes in the field of military industries. Today, the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) is no longer among Turkey’s priorities, thanks to the deterioration of relations with Israel, and this is in fact the example that the United Arab Emirates and other countries that have agreed to normalize should follow.

Today, with this level of relations, Turkey has not in any way ignored the violations and attempts at annexation and the deal of the century, and it continues to struggle and struggle in favor of Palestine, and at the time when the Arab Emirates signed the normalization agreement with Israel, Palestine and the entire Islamic world are witnessing the most brutal, ferocious and aggressive Israeli campaigns. ; Did Israel backtrack on any of its aggressive policies after signing the normalization agreement with the UAE? Did this contribute to achieving any gains for the Palestinian side? Are there any demands for the benefit of the Palestinians?

There is no way to compare this agreement with Turkish-Israeli relations, and even at the worst moments in the history of its relations with Israel, Turkey did not inflict this much shame and insult on itself. In contrast, these countries chose at the best of times, even with the power to put an end to occupation, injustice, dishonor and humiliation.

The approach that these countries follow to consolidate their relationship with Israel tries to present the normalization agreement as a success and pride, and by showing such enthusiasm and shameful and absurd joy, these countries are nothing more than the humiliating servants of Israel.
