“The UK government’s position is that immunity, and therefore any question of waiver, is no longer relevant in Mrs Sacoolas’ case, because she has returned home.

“The US have now informed us that they too consider that immunity is no longer pertinent.”

I am a bit confused now, this seems just to be an attempt to deflect any more pressure on the government by making this a technicality? Or are they saying extradition would be possible now?

  2. Anne Sacoolas does not have diplomatic immunity, it has been confirmed by the Foreign Office.

She fled the country after killing a 19 year old lad in a car accident, she was apparently driving on the wrong side of the road and hit his bike head on.

Fuck her, hiding behind diplomatic immunity that she doesn’t have. Hope she gets extradited back and faces charges.

  3. This woman needs to take responsibility for her actions.

  4. So I can kill someone and go home to my country and its not pertinent anymore?

  5. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://news.sky.com/story/diplomats-wife-devastated-and-wants-to-meet-harry-dunns-parents-11833917) reduced by 88%. (I’m a bot)

    > The US diplomat's wife involved in a crash which killed teenager Harry Dunn does not have diplomatic immunity, the Foreign Office has said.

    > "The US have now informed us that they too consider that immunity is no longer pertinent.”

    > "Mr Seiger also said he was"crystal clear" that Ms Sacoolas "does not have the benefit of diplomatic immunity", and continued: "Why then did the British government advise Northamptonshire Police that she did have diplomatic immunity, and they therefore could not undertake any inquiries?
