The Saudi Al-Nasr team qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League, after its difficult victory over its fellow countryman Al-Taawon 1-0 today, Sunday, in the eight-final round of the tournament in the Qatari capital, Doha.

While Al-Taawon rose to this role after it ranked second in Group C with 9 points from 6 matches, trailing one point behind Persepolis, the Iranian leader, and advancing by a difference in direct confrontations against Al-Duhail, Qatar, compared to 7 points for Sharjah, UAE.

On Monday, the draw for the quarter-finals of the tournament will be held.

Qatar will host the West Asian Champions League competitions in the combined tournament system, which began on September 14 and will continue until October 3, according to the decision of the Asian Football Confederation due to the Corona virus pandemic.
