  1. Oh really? When it was you guys who militarized the south china sea by building military islands? Where did that nine dash line come from, some ancient historical map of china? And you expect Vietnam to resolve the dispute properly; you invade their waters, of course they are going to be mad.

  2. As in “let’s compromise and do it my way.”

  3. All this time for peace is just a smokescreen for the preparation of war..

Don’t trust those who can paint evil as good.

  4. In the same way we are resolving them with Taiwan and HK. Yeah right.

  5. China has been out to control and own Vietnam for centuries. Anyone who trusts the Chinese to do something properly should take a look at how they treat Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nepal, India and every other country that abuts them. To the Chinese the only ‘proper’ response is total capitulation.

  6. There seems to be some confusion here so I will translate. “Properly” means in the way that China sees as the best way. Vietnam should stop contesting China’s “sovereignity” in places like the South China Sea. Stop cozying up to rogue, uncivilized and misguided nations like the US, and generally just get back in line and accept China’s natural hegemony. This is the only conclusion that they can reach once they “properly” discuss their disputes.
